- Convert to dinetteIn Amazing Renovations·May 28, 2024Looking for ideas for building a dinette to replace the kitchen table and chairs. It's in slide so it can't be too heavy. Does anyone have ideas here? Bonus points for high end looking on a budget.002
- Topsail Hill State Park near Destin, FLIn Favorite Campspots·May 28, 2024Beautiful campground near Destin, super reasonable rates. Spots are large and paved, lots of greenery between spots. There's a very nice walkable/bikeable path to the beach and various rentals available in season. Will definitely be back.001
- Air FryerIn Let's cook! In a tiny oven.·May 28, 2024Some friends we met camping convinced us we need an air fryer. After tasting their oven fries, we were sold. We went with the Instant Vortex from Target, it has two trays and a spit where you can theoretically cook a chicken, though we've never tried it. We generally use it outside so it doesn't make the RV smelly, but I do definitely love it as a camping option for cooking. Also has a bake function and some other things we find useful. Better than heating up the oven and using propane for sure. I generally hate kitchen appliances but now I can't without an air fryer. https://www.target.com/p/instant-vortex-plus-10qt-7-in-1-air-fryer-toaster-oven-combo-black/-/A-54643423#lnk=sametab000
- Silt, Colorado KOA (Glenwood Springs)In Favorite Campspots·May 28, 2024This is one of our very favorite RV Parks, right on the Colorado River. The sites are spacious, beautiful firepits with Adirondacks, and if you can get a spot backing up the river it's just magical. There's a nice pool and splash pad in season, and it's close to Glenwood Springs, a fun town to visit. The Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is nearby and a seriously fun amusement park on top of a mountain. The rides are epic - one flings you out over the canyon. Great Alpine Slide down the mountain as well. Highly recommend! https://koa.com/campgrounds/colorado-river/ https://www.glenwoodcaverns.com/001
